Think of your skin as a living, breathing thing. Every day, your body sheds about a million dead skin cells to make way for newer cells! While most of these cells flake off on their own and become dust (a good reminder to also dust your home regularly), many of those old skin cells hang on for dear life. 5 Steps to a Perfect Nighttime Skincare Regimen

Yes, order matters! Follow this easy sequence to get the most out of your skincare products. Since you probably already have a quick morning routine  of some variation of “wash, moisturize, makeup,” we’ll give you a nice evening routine to help you reap the benefits of taking things a little slower.

  1. Cleanse. Always start by removing the impurities from your face that you’ve accumulated all day, like makeup, dirt, and sweat. Some facial cleansers can be a little harsh on the delicate skin on your face, so be sure to use something gentle.
